There is a hidden wilderness deep in the central mountains and deserts of Arizona, and the reason no one has ever discovered it is the very reason that so many find it.  Destiny is like that.  Hidden.  Often obscure.  Yet always in plain sight.

 

In the middle of a secret, military no-fly-zone, on a Native Reserve that was granted to the indigenous people who live in this stark and arid, nearly uninhabitable land, a mountain called Dah'jeh-le-vah, the Mountain of the Ancestors, rises tall and foreboding in an otherwise barren landscape.  No one goes there without permission.

 

There are many ways to die in the open desert, and most of them, as the Flatland Guardians know so well, are not of this world.  For tens of thousands of years, delicately balancing the lives of the promise-bound Warriors of Light who have committed themselves to serving her, Dah'jeh-le-vah has straddled the worlds of Real-time and Shadow.  It is upon her skirts, and within her Ancestral shadows, that the epic story of Dancers of Light and Darkness unfolds.  (See Map.)
